Our Department of French is one of the oldest in the country and offers a range of degrees across single, joint and combined honours. 

Studying French with us, you’ll develop high-level skills in the French language and enjoy discovering a range of optional modules across a range of French and Francophone literature, culture, history and politics - from the Middle Ages to modern day. You will also have the chance to enrich your studies with the option of a year abroad.
