Opportunities

Continue at the School of Global Affairs, Postgraduate Bursaries

Twelve awards of £2,000 are available for King's graduates for September 2024 entry onto one of our master's courses within the School of Global Affairs.

Relevant courses:

Only King's students in their final year of undergraduate courses in the School of Global Affairs are eligible, irrespective of whether they are from the UK, EU or overseas.

Applying to a relevant master's course.

We will identify our top candidates based on previous academic performance, relevant experience (where appropriate) and the personal statement. We welcome applications from students able to demonstrate their potential to succeed on their chosen programme. The university may use contextual information to gain a more complete picture of their individual and educational context.

There is no separate application procedure for the bursary. If you have submitted a complete application by midnight (UK time) on 31 March in the given year, you will automatically be considered for the bursary. If there is a high volume of candidates, applicants may be invited to complete an additional supporting statement to the School.

A fully completed application includes a complete online application form and all supporting documents. This includes personal statements, Record of Agreed Results to date, references and IELTS certificates where appropriate. All materials must have been submitted via the Postgraduate Admissions Portal by the due time and date.

The relevant panel will decide the top candidate and award the bursaries. The successful candidates will be notified by early September at the latest, to include all results for the given year.

The award is a one-off bursary payment. Applicants should ensure that they have sufficient means to cover the tuition fees, as well as maintenance costs.

To be offered the award, you must also meet the following criteria: (a) accept King’s offer of a place as your firm choice and pay the deposit; (b) meet the conditions of your offer (if you firmly accept an unconditional offer you are automatically deemed to have met the conditions of your offer); and (c) enrol as a student on the appropriate course.
