Geography has been taught at King's since 1854. Studying in the Department of Geography at King's means examining many of the most pressing issues facing the world today, guidedby experts in the field. These issues include climate change, environmental degradation, sustainability, global inequality and urban regeneration. Our research and expertise enable us to teach skills, methods and perspectives from the humanities, social sciences, and environmental sciences.

Field trips
The hero image on this webpage was taken by student Catherine Munyarari on her field trip to Kerala, India.
Field trips are an important aspect of the King’s experience. The locations of our field trips are subject to national and university policy and take into account our responsibility to minimise potential environmental impacts. Given these considerations, locations vary depending on the national and international context.
