Overseas giving

With a third of our alumni living outside the UK, we're proud to be a diverse and global community here at King's. Wherever you are in the world, we appreciate your support and can advise you on the best way to donate from overseas. Here you’ll discover how you can make a tax efficient gift if you’re in the USA or Hong Kong.

Donating from the USA

If you’re in the US and decide to give to King’s, the Friends of King’s College London Association Inc. (FoKCLA) will look after your gift.

FoKCLA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (recognised by the US Internal Revenue Service) which funds grants that benefit King’s College London.

In compliance with IRS regulations, the Board of Directors of Friends of King’s College London Association.Inc maintains complete discretion over the allocation of gifts to King’s. Gifts to FoKCLA qualify for an income-tax deduction to the limits allowed by law.

To donate tax efficiently, you can:

  • Send a check made payable to Friends of King’s College London Association. Inc to:

Friends of King’s College London Association
1350 Avenue of the Americas
Floor 2, Suite 266,
New York, NY 10019

For more information, please contact the alumni office at giving@kcl.ac.uk with the subject line 'US Friends'.

Donating from Canada

The Canada Revenue Agency recognises the King’s College London as a ‘qualified donee' and therefore donations made by Canadian taxpayers to King’s are tax deductible.

To make a donation you can donate online

King’s will automatically issue an electronic gift receipt to donors based in Canada.  If you require a tax receipt for a donation that you have made to complete your tax return, please email our alumni office giving@kcl.ac.uk with your details to request your receipt.

Donating from Hong Kong

If you're based in Hong Kong and would like to support King's, your gift can be made through the King’s College London Hong Kong Foundation.

The Foundation is a registered charity under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, meaning your donation is tax-efficient and eligible for local tax benefits.

To donate tax efficiently, you can:

  • Send a cheque made payable to King’s College London Hong Kong Foundation to:

King's College London Hong Kong Foundation Limited
C/O Acclime Corporate Services Limited
Unit B, 17/F United Centre
95 Queensway Admiralty
Hong Kong

For more information, please contact the alumni office at giving@kcl.ac.uk with the subject line ‘HK Foundation’.

My principal reason for supporting King’s College London is that in this way I can keep offering thanks for and paying tribute to the academic institutions that I knew and love so well during my tenure as Chair there between 1979 and 1988.

Emeritus Professor David Aspin (based in Australia)
