The YTL Centre Annual Lecture in Politics, Philosophy and Law

The YTL Centre Annual Lecture in Politics, Philosophy and Law was established in 2017. Its aim is to provide a forum for a leading contemporary thinker to address an important issue of our day that engages with the disciplines of politics, philosophy and law. The inaugural lecturer in 2017 was Professor Martha Nussbaum (University of Chicago) and the lecturer in 2018 was given by Professor T.M. Scanlon (Harvard University). Future YTL Centre Annual Lectures will be given by Professor Richard Tuck (Harvard University) in 2019 and Professor Miranda Fricker (City University of New York) in 2020.

The inaugural YTL Centre Annual Lecture in Politics, Philosophy and Law was delivered in 2017 by one of the world's leading philosophers and pubic intellectuals,  Professor Martha C. Nussbaum.

The Inaugural Annual YTL Centre Lecture with Professor Martha Nussbaum took place on Thursday 9 March 2017 followed by a Panel Discussion of Professor Martha C Nussbaum's YTL Centre Annual Lecture: Sexual Violence: Accountability in a Culture of Celebrity took place on Friday 10 March 2017.
