UK Collaborations

    1. Other Divisions
      We co-direct an MRC Programme grant [2007-2011] in the Functional Genomics of Psoriasis, together with the Division of Genetics and Molecular Medicine.
    2. Other Colleges / Research Institutes
      • From Spring 2008 until 2013, our laboratory will undertake pre-clinical basic research studies at the London Research Institute of CRUK (funded by CRUK and the Wellcome Trust).
      • We collaborate with Dr Benjamin Willcox at Birmingham University to identify and characterise ligands bound by the gamma delta T cell receptor (funded by a grant from CRUK)


    1. Our laboratory participates in a long-standing collaboration with the Dept of Dermatology at Yale University, investigating immunosurveillance in the skin. The work is funded in part by the National Institutes of Health.
    2. We are initiating a collaborative programme with Professor Terry Strom (Harvard) to examine the role of MHC-related stress antigens in transplantation (funded by the MRC Centre for Transplantation)
    3. Professor Hayday is on the teaching faculty of two Masters in Immunology Courses at the Pasteur Institute, Paris, and the Ecole Normale Superieur, Lyon, respectively. This has led to French students joining DIIID for short periods of laboratory training.
