Guest speaker Kate Allatt at Stroke Meeting

The Division of Health & Social Care Research is delighted to announce that Kate Allatt will be a special guest speaker at the KCL Stroke Research Patients & Family Group meeting on 17 December 2013. At the age of 39, Kate had a major brainstem stroke that left her with Locked-in Syndrome.

After a remarkable recovery, Kate has written two books about her experience, founded the charity fighting strokes.org and now campaigns passionately for better stroke care and more research into stroke and rehabilitation.
