Division of Health & Social Care Research awarded a Athena SWAN Bronze Award

We are delighted to announce that the Division has been awarded a Bronze Award from the Athena SWAN Charter. The Bronze Award provides recognition of our Divisional commitment to advancing women’s careers in higher education and research. 

The Divisional Athena SWAN Committee, chaired by Professor Janet Peacock, will continue to work on the Bronze Award action plan with the hope of achieving Silver in the future.

The Award will be presented at a ceremony in June 2015 at the University of Greenwich.

PhD student awarded prestigious fellowship

PhD student awarded prestigious fellowship

Chinonso Igwesi-Chidobe, a PhD student from Nigeria in the Department of Physiotherapy, has been awarded the Schlumberger Faculty for the Future fellowship to support her PhD studies here at King's College London. The fellowships are awarded to women who have excelled academically and who are potential role models for other women in science and engineering.

More Athena SWAN success for the Faculty

The Faculty is delighted to announce that four Divisions have been granted Athena SWAN Bronze awards by the Equality Challenge Unit. These Divisions are Cancer Studies, Genetics & Molecular Medicine, Health & Social Care Research, and the Randall Division of Cell & Molecular Biophysics.
