Business is the lifeblood of the British economy. We want to embed entrepreneurship in the heart of King’s student experience. Our plans for a new business school, based in Bush House in the heart of London, will allow us to develop robust new academic programmes which are responsive to the changing demands of the global business community.
King’s is already world-renowned for its work tackling radicalisation and political violence. Going forwards, we will explore how best to engage students, governments and the public in tackling terrorism. In a society so wracked by conflict, our goal is to create an environment which facilitates international conflict resolution.
Mental health is something that is increasingly on the public and media agenda. Recent research suggests that up to 75% of young adults with mental health problems could have been diagnosed and treated during childhood. Early detection is therefore imperative. We believe that King’s is ideally placed to address and advance the understanding of mental health problems in young people. In the next campaign, our aim will be to change the way we diagnose, treat and perceive mental health.
As we move forward with this exceptional work, we will need even greater support from friends who share our commitment to providing global solutions to some of the world’s greatest problems. Our new campaign is not far away – and we hope you will continue on this journey with us.
