Enhance your employability skills with the Essential Digital Skills Programme

If you have not already joined the Essential Digital Skills programme by now, it is not too late. It is a fully online programme that you can do in your own time and at your own pace. 

Sign up and join the thousands of King’s students who have already joined the programme. 

What is the Essential Digital Skills Programme?

The programme teaches students the essential digital skills needed to support their academic, professional, and personal development. The focus will be on five main themes which are:

  • Your online learning platform (KEATS).
  • Digital tools to equip you for success.
  • Being a good digital citizen.
  • Wellbeing in the digital world.
  • Resources for your studies.

Students will work through the online content, and complete short assessments (such as quizzes) to measure and reinforce learning.

Employability skills 

Chapter 4 of the program features a section titled 'Digital Identity & Employability,' offering hands-on guidance for building a compelling digital footprint and crafting a strong personal brand.

What are the benefits of the Programme?

  • Build digital confidence and competence.
  • The Programme is free.
  • Receive a Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR). accreditation if students successfully complete the programme and the relevant assessments. The HEAR accreditation will be added to your university transcript so that prospective employers know that you completed the Essential Digital Skills Programme.
  • Receive a downloadable digital certificate from King's as soon as you successfully complete the programme.
