Undergraduate entry requirements

Applicants from India: 

For Indian high‑school qualifications, we accept only the Indian High School Leaving Certificate from the CBSE or CISCE boards.

We also accept a range of international qualifications, such as the International Baccalaureate. 

Entry requirements vary by programme, so please check the details for your chosen course.

How to check your eligibility:

  1. On your chosen course page, navigate to the Entry Requirements tab, open the International Applicants section, and select India from the dropdown. This will show whether your qualification and grades meet our requirements, including any subject criteria.
  2. Review our English language requirements to see whether your certificates are accepted or if you will need to take an English language test.

All undergraduate applications, including transfers, must be made via UCAS.

Applicants from other countries in the South Asia region:

You must complete an International Foundation Course and achieve a level of English as requested by the course.

Undergraduate application and offer timelines 

  • September – January: Applications open on UCAS.
  • Mid January: UCAS application deadline (date varies each year).
  • October – May: Offers released.
  • Early June: Offer-holder acceptance deadline (dates may vary each year).
  • After accepting: Pay your deposit to secure your place.

Postgraduate entry requirements

Entry requirements vary by programme and are typically based on your final undergraduate GPA or percentage classification.

  1. Check the entry requirements section on your chosen postgraduate course.
  2. Review any subject-specific prerequisites or English language requirements.

All postgraduate applications must be made via the King’s Apply Portal.
