Intercalated BScs: How to apply

King's College London's Guy's Campus

This information is for students not currently at King's. Current King's students should refer to the application deadline given on the internal website.

Making your application

King's Apply

Applications are made online. To apply, you'll need to register on our online application system "King's Apply" where you can submit your application online.

Applicants who are unsuccessful in their first choice will automatically be put forward for consideration to their second choice. Where it is not possible to accommodate applicants on their second choice and where the application is otherwise competitive, wherever possible we will look to accommodate applicants on one of our other programmes with available places. Please see the entry requirements before making your application

Please note, external applications will only be considered from students studying at UK or Ireland institutions.

Important information for Tier 4 visa holders

Under the requirements of UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI), Tier 4 students who wish to add an intercalated programme will need to apply for a new Tier 4 visa, which must be done from outside of the UK. King’s can produce a CAS once applications have been made unconditional.  Applicants should liaise with the Admissions Office.

Processing your application

To process your application, we will need...

1. An academic reference from your School or University

2. A transcript of all marks achieved so far, including any mid-sessional marks from the current year, along with an average ranking for your year.

3. Written approval from your University permitting you to intercalate at King’s. (Provisional permission, normally subject to you passing the current year of study, is acceptable).  We reserve the right not to consider your application until we have confirmation of that permission.

4. A copy of your sponsor letter (e.g. Student Finance England or NHS Bursary Notification of Award letter) or tuition fee invoice for the current academic year.

We cannot process applications without this information.

If you are made an offer

All offers of a place on an intercalated BSc programme at King's College London are conditional on you successfully completing all elements of your current year of study at the first attempt.

To confirm successful completion of all elements please submit an official academic transcript by 28 August 2020.

Upon receipt of this transcript your offer will become unconditional and you will receive formal confirmation via email.

If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact the King's Admissions Team.
