BA History
I chose King’s because of the strength of its world renowned History Department and its location in the heart of London. I don’t think there could be a more centrally located university! I am most impressed at the level of support and care that the History Department gives to their students. Personal tutors, a ‘buddy’ system, and dedicated seminar leaders are all there to guide you along and help you succeed in your course, so you will never feel alone.
King’s offers a number of services for its students to use, the Open Learning Centre (OLC) being my personal favorite. I have taken full advantage of the option to study a language alongside my degree and find that the OLC has been incredibly useful, as it offers students a variety of books, DVDs, and satellite TV stations to supplement their language classes.
King’s presents such an amazing value in a world class city: a top history programme and less costly than comparable universities in the US. Living in such a vibrant and culturally rich city as London greatly enhances my time here as an undergraduate student. There is a place for everyone here. Studying abroad permanently at King’s is a truly unmatched experience
