Abstract
My PhD concerns the relationship between music and philosophy in the years around 1800, with a particular focus on German Idealism and Early German Romanticism. I investigate the links between changing conceptions of music and changing conceptions of epistemology, subjectivity, and time. More broadly, I am interested in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century music and in the intersections between music, continental philosophy, and analytic philosophy.
