Studying Music with us here in the heart of London means you are close to many of the capital’s world-class music venues and taught by staff who passionately believe in the central role of music in today’s culture.

Our research strengths include music and cultural history from the medieval period to the twenty-first century, composition and performance studies, opera, jazz and film music, the ethnomusicology of South Asia, Latin American and the Middle East. Composers benefit from workshops given by visiting professional musicians including the ensemble Lontano
