Alumni

Music students progress to careers in music, or in other fields. Employers are drawn to the high level of academic skills, the organizational abilities, and the powers of argument, empathy and communication that King’s music students possess in abundance.

Recent graduates have gone on to careers in law, arts administration, and finance amongst a variety of pathways. For many others, a music degree at King’s is the first step in a career related directly to music: some will continue to develop their performance or composition portfolios in London’s conservatories. Others will take the next step as music academics or choose careers in music teaching.

In all cases, graduating students quickly connect with professional networks in London, in music as well as other fields of employment, that make their next steps clear. Career advice is routinely provided both within and beyond the Department, and recent alumni are always close at hand.
