COGENT

The COGENT study is a collaboration between King’s College London, Imperial College London, University of Cambridge and the University of Chicago and forms part of a wider project, the Great British Well-Being Survey.

COVID Symptom Study 

Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine 

The COVID Symptom Study app has been developed by health science company ZOE. It is endorsed by the Welsh Government, NHS Wales, the Scottish Government & NHS Scotland. Data collected is shared with and analysed by King's College London & ZOE research teams.

Empoderando Familias 

Empoderando Familias is a project by Widening Participation at King’s College London in collaboration with the community organising charity Citizens UK.

Funnel Support Nework was initiated by Karim Ali, BSc Pharmacology student at King's College London. 

 

King’s PhD student supports COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial 

Rhys Brown is a PhD student from the Centre for Host Microbiome Interactions at the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, King’s College London. 

 

King’s Together Seed Fund 

King’s Together Seed Fund is a £1,000,000 per year initiative seed funding multi and inter disciplinary research.

King's volunteers support the NHS 

Students from the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial SciencesFlorence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience have joined the NHS to support the pandemic response. 

 

Life Lines 

Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care  

Life Lines was supported by King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre and King’s College London. Initial seed funding of £1 million has been provided by the True Colours Trust and the Gatsby Charitable Foundation. The poject was supported by Aetonix who created aTouchAway

Respite and support for frontline NHS staff 

King’s FoodScience Gallery London and the Residences Team at Stamford Street Apartments have been part of the pandemic response.The Estates & Facilities team is also collaborating with King’s NHS partners. 

 

RomBelong: Tutors for Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller students 

The RomBelong programme has been developed by King’s alumni Chrissie Browne, Chelsea McDonagh together with the Widening Participation team at King’s College London.

Student volunteers for vaccination programme 

Students from the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial SciencesFlorence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine  have been volunteering as vaccinators since the start of the vaccine rollout.  

 

Studying the mental health of ICU staff 

Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience  

This research was a collaboration between King’s College London and University College London with important contributions from the Behavioural Science Team, Emergency Response Department Science & Technology, Public Health England and the University of Oxford. The research was funded by the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Unit (NIHR HPRU) in Emergency Preparedness and Response at King’s College London in partnership with Public Health England (PHE), in collaboration with the University of East Anglia and Newcastle University.

King’s Global Health Partnerships works with health facilities, academic institutions and governments to strengthen health systems and improve the quality of care in four countries: Somaliland, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.
