The Associates Scheme

Associateship is free but you must be an active researcher or practitioner in the field, or have a particular interest in EBPP issues.

Evidence based (or evidence informed) policy and practice is still a relatively new field, and one of the aims of the ESRC UK Centre for Evidence Based Policy and Practice is to foster contact between members of a diverse and growing community. The Evidence Network website is the focal point, providing a range of useful information resources that are open to all, and the opportunity for those who are working in the field to take an active part in the professional community.

As an Evidence Network Associate you will access to:

  • A database of the activities, interests and contact details of some 700 other Associates including researchers, policy makers and practitioners world-wide
  • A regular email newsletter, to which you can contribute
  • An opt-in email discussion group on EBPP issues
  • Centre seminars and workshops on research reviewing, and database awareness and information retrieval, at much reduced rates
  • The Centre's professional assessments of the value of key bibliographic databases as sources of information
  • The option to set up a link with the British Library's Document Supply Centre for the direct delivery to your desk of documents in electronic or hard copy form (British Library charges apply)
  • An enquiry answering/advice service from the Centre (some complex enquiries may be charged)
