The Faculty of Arts & Humanities is committed to embedding diversity and inclusion into all of its activity. We aim to ensure our staff and students have equal access to opportunities and have a positive and inclusive experience at work or during study. We have a Faculty Diversity and Inclusion Committee which includes membership from academic and professional services staff, representing all of our departments, as well as student representatives.
Our diversity and inclusion work has so far included work on diversity in the curriculum, inclusive pedagogy, race equality, supporting staff with disabilities and supporting students from minority groups.
The Faculty's demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion was confirmed when our two largest departments, English and History, both achieved Athena Swan Bronze Awards. This faculty-wide commitment will, we hope, be further borne out by upcoming applications for further awards across King's A&H.
