The Big Switch Off

Reduce, Switch Off, Conserve

At King’s, every action we take shapes our future. That’s why we’re inviting you to be part of The Big Switch Off, a campaign designed to reduce energy waste and improve efficiency.

By making small, mindful changes, you can make a big difference.

Switching off lights, powering down equipment and unplugging devices when not in use not only saves energy and money but also strengthens our commitment to sustainability.

This isn’t just about cutting utility bills, it’s about building long-term habits that benefit you and the University. King’s is your home away from home, and just as you’d take care of your own space, we ask you to work with us to create a more energy-efficient campus. Whether you’re in a lecture theatre, study room, an office, or a social space, your choices matter.

This initiative is part of our commitment to making our campuses more sustainable and to decarbonising our estate. We're constantly working on energy and water efficiency initiatives in buildings across our campuses and need your support. Every action you take contributes to achieving our goals.
