Emotional intelligence (EI) is a powerful predictor of resilient, effective leadership. By leveraging the science of emotional intelligence, leaders can drive organisational success through higher performing teams, productive working relationships and reduced conflict. This programme is designed to equip you with the skills needed to recognise and manage your own emotions and those of the people around you, building the relational foundations to strengthen collaboration and navigate the high-pressure environment of the workplace.

Course features
This course develops your leadership skills to foster more productive working relationships. Diving into the evidence-based theory of emotional intelligence, you’ll learn how to adapt your management style to build high-performing teams, effectively manage conflict resolution and become a more efficient leader. You’ll be able to immediately apply what you learn to your own context and practice using your new tools to enhance your success.
The course also features an individual coaching session where you can explore challenges and opportunities specific to you in a safe and confidential setting before returning to implement your learnings in your role.

Before we begin |
You'll complete a short self-assessment (EQi 2.0 questionnaire) to discover your emotional and social competencies and preferences. |

Day 1: Understanding the science of social and emotional intelligence |
Working alongside the course director and the rest of your cohort, you’ll take part in a workshop to learn about the science of emotional intelligence and reflect on your own experiences in the workplace. |

Day 2: Putting learning into practice |
During the programme you will work with a group of ambitious professional peers on practical strategies to leverage EI strengths and develop EI weaknesses. Throughout the two days you'll also discuss the results of your EQi 2.0 questionnaire. |

Your individual coaching session |
You’ll be able to take part in a 1:1 virtual coaching session to delve deeper into your self-assessment report and receive personalised progression steps to help you on your enhanced leadership journey. This session can be pre-booked to work around your professional and personal commitments. |

Entry requirements
This course is designed for those who work with other people and want to improve their working relationships and impact. To be considered for this programme, you will need to have at least five years’ relevant work experience. You do not have to be leading a team, but we advise that you are managing a team, project or individuals to get the most out of the course.
