Led by start-up experts, our students spend two days working in teams to develop and test new ideas.
Students are placed into small teams and, choosing from a list of possible consumer problems to address work through the key phases of getting a start-up off the ground:
- Lean Startup: how to quickly build, test and learn about startup ideas
- Customer Development: how to understand a problem your users or customers face
- Minimum Viable Product: building products to test your idea quickly
- Branding: building a logo, typeface and colour palette
- Growth Marketing: using Facebook to drive users to your product
- Pitching: conveying your idea clearly and concisely to your audience
- Career skills that will set you apart at when applying for internships and jobs
- The opportunity to use creativity to develop and launch real ideas
- The chance to build and test something real ahead of applying to the King’s20 Accelerator and the Idea Factory
The 48Hr StartUp is run exclusively for King's Business School students. Students should:
- have a drive to learn and succeed
- be interested in learning the basics of design thinking to use in their own ventures
- want to experience working in teams over a bootcamp weekend
- want to experience how much you can achieve in 48 hours
