Everything begins with an idea...
Idea Factory is King’s College London’s flagship idea generation competition. The competition aims to nurture the biggest and best ideas from across the university that have the potential to grow into ventures, taking you through our 'factory' process from light bulb moment to viable business proposition. It’s a fantastic chance to develop your skills and win amazing prizes and mentorship.
Whatever your interest or passion, we want you to get creative and submit your ideas for new innovations, products or services.
Participating in Idea Factory is a great way to win support to help make an idea a reality. Taking part in supporting workshops will give you skills in sustainably disrupting your idea, learning how to thoroughly validate your idea, and pitching your idea with clarity and enthusiasm; you'll gain confidence, meet like-minded people and have fun!
And new for this year is the Engineers in Business Competition (EIBC), designed to encourage engineering students and alumni to supplement their engineering skills with commercial and business education, rewarding ground-breaking ideas that could solve real problems in society, and a chance to win £3,000. See the Info Packs on the right for more information.
Idea Factory runs from November-March each year - take a look at the timeline on the right for an idea of what's involved.
