Student Societies in the Department of European & International Development

The European Studies King’s Association (ESKA) is dedicated to improving the experience of students in the Department of European & International Studies (EIS), complementing and reinforcing formal student representation through the staff-student liaison committee.

ESKA provides networking opportunities for present, past and future students of the Department, social gatherings with EIS faculty (called "Café Europe") as well as careers events for department students.

The King's College London European Society, formed through the King's College London Students' Union and welcome students from any department across King’s.

It is focused on bringing attention to issues of European culture, politics, history and economics through conferences, cultural celebrations and other events.

The King's College London European Society traditionally organises the highly regarded European Week each year with support from the Department of European & International Studies and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at King’s.

European Week attracts leading speakers from the media, politics and academia to discuss and debate contemporary European issues.
