Our long-standing partnerships with iconic cultural venues in London and world-leading universities around the world offer our students the opportunity to enhance their degree.

We run Master's programmes in partnership with Shakespeare's Globe and the British Library, and provide career workshops in collaboration with the Royal Society of Literature. Students can learn directly from professionals in the arts and to access internships that can kickstart careers.

We also have research projects collaborating with a range of organisations, from cultural venues and historical sites to charities and social initiatives.

Our students also have the opportunity to spend a year abroad as part of their undergraduate degree at a university in Australia, Asia, North America or Europe. With our international partners, opportunities include exchanges of academic staff and research students, as well as joint research and teaching activities.

Joint PhD programmes are available in collaboration with Humboldt Universität and the National University of Singapore, giving students the opportunity to receive a qualification from two institutions.

The British Library

Run in collaboration with the British Library, our Early Modern English Literature: Books That Matter MA gives students the opportunity to access world-renowned archives and resources to support their work.

Royal Society of Literature

Each year we run a careers event with the Royal Society of Literature to showcase the variety of routes available to a literary career.

With speakers from the worlds of publishing, journalism, television, film, theatre, charity and more, our students learn how to break into some of the most exciting sectors.

Many of our academics and alumni have been recognised by or elected as Fellows of the Royal Society of Literature, highlighting the quality of their work.

Shakespeare's Globe

Shakespeare's Globe and King's College London run Shakespeare Centre London, which connects the two institutions through research and teaching. Together, we deliver our Shakespeare Studies MA, giving students access to one of the most recognisable theatres in the world and a broader range of academic expertise.
