Join us on Thursday 12 March, from 12.30-1.30 pm, for our next seminar in the Analytical Connections series. In this session, you will learn about tools to integrate and visualise multi-omics datasets.
The rapid rise of large, multi-modal, multi-omics datasets in biomedical research presents both new opportunities and significant challenges for data integration and interpretation. Multi-Dimensional Viewer (MDV) is an open-source, user-friendly tool that empowers researchers to integrate and visualize complex multi-omics datasets. MDV enables analysis and visualisation of multiple data types, including spatial transcriptomics and proteomics, single-cell transcriptomics, ATAC/multiome, and structural variant data.
Speaker

Stephen Taylor
Head of Integrative Computational Biology, Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford.
“The aim of my group is to develop state-of-the-art computational methods to break down barriers to aid the integration, visualisation, and analytics of biological datasets. We develop software tools and methodologies to interrogate a wide variety of modalities including spatial biology, imaging, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and epigenetics. This allows us to gain insight into the disease context and progression at a molecular and tissue level. Our work will enable opportunities for exploring cellular pathologies, discovering new biomarkers, and reclassifying disease taxonomies”
