Recent advances in Optical Photothermal Infrared (O-PTIR) microscopy have transformed infrared chemical imaging by overcoming the traditional limits of spatial resolution of IR spectroscopy, enabling submicron, label-free chemical imaging in reflection mode with FTIR transmission/ATR like spectra.
In this seminar, we will explore the latest developments in O-PTIR and present the next-generation of laser-scanning multimodal platform integrating O-PTIR, photothermal stimulated Raman (PT-SRS), and confocal fluorescence-guided imaging for real-time, correlative chemical microscopy.
Discover key technological innovations including high-speed laser scanning for rapid chemical imaging, >30x faster, integrated IR + Spontaneous Raman and PT-SRS from the same location, 3D depth-resolved chemical imaging, Co- and counter-propagating geometries for diverse substrates, and widefield and confocal Fluorescence-guided IR+Raman spectroscopy. The platform also delivers approximately 200 nm spatial resolution, bridging the gap between micro- and nanoscale analysis.
Learn how multimodal O-PTIR imaging is being applied across diverse research and industrial fields, including polymer phase mapping, live-cell and tissue imaging, brain tissue analysis, microplastic identification and advanced materials characterisation.
