Analytical Bites: Towards spatially resolved single and sub-cellular multi-omics
Hodgkin Building, Guy’s Campus, London
Join us for lunch and the kick-off of our Advanced Single – Cell Analytics Series showcasing the newly relocated King’s based national BBSRC SEISMIC facility for single cell mass spectrometry. Our systems can isolate single living cells and even sub-cellular compartments into capillaries under a confocal microscope, allowing for subsequent analysis of their lipids, metabolites, proteins, or metals. We are working together with research groups across the UK and industry to co-develop this technology and will explain how it can be used to optimise drug delivery and radiotherapy as well as gain a better understanding of the way viruses and bacteria perturb cells. This talk will explain the methodologies, future directions for development, and applications. Open to all King's students and staff - this event is free, but registration is required.
