About the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine
King’s Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine is one of the largest and most successful centres for research and education in the UK.
Our faculty consists of over 2,000 staff and 5,000 students within seven Schools and two Schools of Education; School of Bioscience Education and GKT School of Medical Education.
Our research is strategically aligned to King's Health Partners with Clinical Academic Groups bringing together academics and clinicians who are committed to ensuring faster translation and adoption of research innovation into clinical practice.
91.8 percent of the Faculty's REF 2014 submission was rated 4 star or 3 star.

Our schools of education deliver a comprehensive education and training portfolio, including undergraduate health (Medicine, Nutrition & Dietetics, Pharmacy & Physiotherapy) and a suite of related BSc programmes in Biomedical Sciences.
The mission of the Faculty has always been to deliver world class education and achieve research excellence. In order to strengthen our learning environment, we have created a Faculty Centre for Education, which will draw together expertise in pedagogy in life sciences and medicine, to share and strengthen teaching skills and methods and drive forward innovation in the delivery of education
The Faculty’s Schools of Education: School of Bioscience Education and GKT School of Medical Education remain the academic home for our 5,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
