STEM Lectures for Schools

About the programme

Are you interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)? Do you want to hear from scientists and engineers doing cutting-edge research? Then come along to our monthly STEM Lectures for Schools!

The fascinating topics covered in these talks will take you beyond what you're taught in the classroom, showcasing just some of the ideas you might study in a STEM degree at university.

At each event, a different speaker will highlight the ground-breaking work they do here at King’s, as well as exploring their personal journey in STEM. We look forward to welcoming you, and hope these talks help you find your future in STEM.

Important information

These events are designed for students aged 16+, but younger students are also welcome. Bookings can be made by schools for a class/group or by individual students attending alone or with family/friends. Group bookings are initially limited to 30 students per school.

Events run on term-time weekdays just after school, from 16.00-18.00 in person at King's Strand Campus. All events are free to attend, and complimentary refreshments will be served at the start of the event.

This programme is organised by the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences and will feature speakers from our five departments: Chemistry, Engineering, Informatics, Mathematics and Physics.
