What advice would you give to a beginner in the gym?

I really encourage our newcomers to ask us questions. Don’t be afraid if you don’t know how to use a piece of equipment; we’re here to help. Our gyms have a really great atmosphere as we’ve created our own community, plus it’s a great opportunity to meet other students.

What sets King’s Sport gyms apart from others?

We’ve created a positive and supportive atmosphere at our gyms, we care about our members and find it really rewarding to see them progress on their physical and wellness related journeys.

Which classes do you enjoy teaching the most?

I’m very passionate about my RIDE classes. It really gives me confidence when I see the same members returning every week, letting me know that I help them stay motivated, that they find my classes fun. I really like to experiment with my classes to make sure they don’t get repetitive. I started ‘themed’ RIDE class which lets me experiment with different genres of music every week.

How does physical activity maintain your wellbeing?

Doing any sort of physical activity is the best form of stress relief as it helps your body produce endorphins. It really helps with self-esteem too. If you’ve been working on a particular goal and you start seeing that materialise that can really be rewarding.
