Mental Health Awareness Week

Three students play giant Jenga outside a historic building, laughing as the tower wobbles.

Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 12 - 18 May 2025. Centring on the theme of ‘community’, it’s a reminder that we play a vital role in supporting one another’s wellbeing. At King’s, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with the University’s community. Take a read of how you can get involved with events around campus to help boost your wellbeing.

Wear It Green Day - wear green this Thursday 15 May during Mental Health Awareness Week. By wearing green, you can show your support for efforts promoting good mental health and wellbeing.

Take Time Out

Take Time Out encourages you to explore ways to relax and boost your wellbeing. Check out the range of activities running from 28 April - 23 May, including VR against exam anxiety, stress release, mini massages, arts and crafts and more.

Look after your health

Maintaining your wellbeing alongside your studies and assessment preparations is crucial. From boosting your memory to keeping your energy steady, a well-balanced diet and hydration can make a real difference.

Sleeping is also equally important as eating well. Getting quality sleep improves your mental clarity and reduces stress. Read our article about all-nighters and their effects on your health.

Plan your day with regular breaks to spend time outside in nature or to connect with your friends and family. This will not only help you feel refreshed but also improve your ability to refocus on your studies.

Taking short exercise breaks, such as going for a run, walk or swim goes a long way in enhancing your mood and concentration. Download the King’s Move app so you can collect points for your steps.

King's Sport & Wellness Centre offers free wellness sessions for Mental Health Awareness Week and there is free access to on-demand wellness content, like yoga and guided meditation, through the Les Mills Keats page.

The King’s Way to Wellbeing can help you reflect on ways to look after your overall wellbeing.
