Strike days affecting London transport services previously announced for May have been cancelled.
Strike action by members of the RMT union is scheduled for the following dates:
- 2-4 June (12.00 midday Tuesday - 12.00 midday Wednesday)
We can’t predict how severe the transport disruption will be and how much of the network will be affected. Strikes can be changed or cancelled at short notice, so we recommend being prepared to adjust and re-route yourself as needed.
Please ensure you plan ahead, check before you travel and leave more time for your journey. You can find accessible routes using the TfL Transport Accessibility page and TfL Plan a Journey which can be filtered to include step-free routes, bus routes, and reduced walking options.
Trains, buses and taxis will be very busy on the strike days, please allow extra time for your journey.
Strike action during exams
The tube strikes scheduled in May are during the Assessment Period and might impact your journey to an exam venue.
Exams will still take place in person as scheduled on campus and at ExCeL London. If you are taking an exam, please make sure that you leave plenty of time when travelling to the exam venue and plan your journey in advance.
Detailed information is available on Student Services Online.
If you think you will have difficulty travelling to the venue in time for your exam or if you experience difficulties on the day, please contact your department as soon as possible, so they can advise you on what to do, and if submitting mitigating circumstances are appropriate.
Further Guidance
The University will be open, and any scheduled activities should go ahead as planned. Departments will let students know if there are any changes.
Some building entrances and exits may be altered at short notice. Please look out for signage directing you to the nearest entrance or exit.
