London Underground potential strike days

Strike action by the RMT Union which will impact Tube services is planned to take place during a series of six 24-hour strikes scheduled between Tuesday 24 March and Friday 22 May 2026.

When are the Tube strikes?

As it stands, members of the RMT union will strike on:

  • 24–25 March (12.00 Tuesday – 11.59 Wednesday)
  • 26–27 March (12.00 Thursday – 11.59 Friday)
  • 21–22 April (12.00 Tuesday – 11.59 Wednesday)
  • 23–24 April (12.00 Thursday – 11.59 Friday)
  • 19–20 May (12.00 Tuesday – 11.59 Wednesday)
  • 21–22 May (12.00 Thursday – 11.59 Friday)

We can’t predict how severe the transport disruption will be and how much of the network will be affected.

Please ensure you plan ahead, check before you travel and leave more time for your journey. You can find accessible routes using the TfL Transport Accessibility page and TfL Plan a Journey which can be filtered to include step-free routes, bus routes, and reduced walking options.

Trains, buses and taxis will be very busy on the strike days, please allow extra time for your journey.

The University will be open, and teaching and assessments should go ahead as scheduled. Departments will let students know if there are any changes to classes.

Some building entrances and exits may be altered at short notice. Please look out for signage directing you to the nearest entrance or exit.
