King’s Online has been set up to expand the university’s online and distance learning offering. The team work with academics and faculties to develop top quality content in a way which both meets learning objectives and adheres to principles of user-experience and eLearning pedagogy. All modules contain fully-responsive online content (accessible on any device) and are created using an open-source development tool - which means that all improvements and additions created can later be released to the development community outside of King’s.
One of the flagship online programmes developed thus far is the International Corporate and Commercial Law LLM. An innovative delivery model has been implemented, with six points of entry each year for this fully online, flexible master’s degree. In May 2016, the LLM commenced teaching and seven modules have been delivered to date, with exceptionally positive student feedback. As our modules and programmes are fully online, our students do not need to come to campus (unless they choose to) therefore helping to widen global access to a King’s education.
