Within the BSc Psychology programme we have created three non-credit bearing optional modules for psychology students to support the development of key graduate attributes. The three modules are designed to build upon each other, with first year undergraduates completing ‘Foundation Graduate Attributes’, second year undergraduates taking ‘Intermediate Graduate Attributes’ and final year students completing ‘Advanced Graduate Attributes’.
To complete each of the modules, students must complete at least four of twenty available activities. These activities are divided into six categories: Core Study Skills, Communication Skills, Planning, Projects and People, Skills for Mental Wellbeing, Being Tech Savvy, and Building Your Career.
Around half of the activities are delivered via face to face workshops and half via Lynda.com (an online training portal available to all King’s staff and students). This programme of modules also allows students to collect virtual badges for use of sites such as LinkedIn and will be visible on their academic transcript for prospective employers.
