Support our students

At King’s, we support the brightest minds to get into university, to access a world-class education in the heart of London.

But rising costs of living in London, increasing rates of mental ill-health, the impact of Brexit and experiences of digital poverty mean for many, university is not an option at all. There has never been a more important time to support our students, and with your help, we can enable all students, regardless of their background, to reach their potential.

See how your gifts are supporting our students here:

Funding futures

Our ambition is to help King’s students become agents of change wherever their lives and careers take them, whatever their background. But we need your help.

Your support can help us fulfil our students’ potential in a number of ways:

  • Scholarships and bursaries
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Work experience opportunities
  • Programmes to develop future global leaders

As a result of our sector-leading approaches to social mobility we have the most diverse student population in the Russell Group, creating an environment for dynamic conversations which enable our students to develop cultural competency; the ability to see the world through the eyes of others.

Our ambition

Every student deserves the chance to succeed, but we need your help to make this happen. With philanthropic support, we instil confidence in young people from all walks of life that university is for them.

Once students are part of our community, we make sure they have everything they need for success.

No student will find themselves disconnected from virtual learning or face the difficult question of how they will fund their next year at university. Our ambition is that no student will be cut off from studying particular subjects, and can take part in any extracurricular, service, volunteering and learning opportunities we offer.

From secondary school pupils attending our K+ programme, to mature students, our community of learners have diverse needs and so much potential. We need your help to make sure it never goes to waste.

Being young is a crucial time for learning. And it is more costly for individual students nowadays than perhaps it ever was. I am fortunate to be able to help in a small way and so that’s why I make donations to King’s College London. Lecturers and professors gain great satisfaction from seeing their students flourish, growing in skill, learning and judgement because of the knowledge they impart to them. Helping a student financially enables a donor to share in that exhilarating feeling of satisfaction.– Claude Scott, MA Modern History (2008) and member of the Kingsmaker Guild
