About Us

At King's Academy, our mission is to foster a vibrant, supportive, and progressive academic culture across the College, in partnership with faculties and through our collaborative relationships with staff, students and external partners. We strive to enhance and develop the potential of all educators and professional services colleagues who support education - from early-career to experienced faculty and those in leadership roles - through structured professional development, mentorship, and evidence-informed practices.

We are committed to promoting an environment where educators explore, reflect and innovate within their respective fields and cultivate inclusive, student-centred curriculum design, teaching and assessment methodologies and are recognised for their practice. Through our community’s active engagement in educational research and scholarship, we aim to extend King’s influence, contributing both to the King's Education Strategy and broader academic discourse.

We will champion flexible, assessment-centred, and responsive curriculum designs and pedagogies that embrace global, national, sectoral, and technological shifts. We advocate for evidence-based approaches to programme and assessment design at every level, encouraging enjoyment and engagement for students and staff. We have a critical and central role in facilitating meaningful collaboration between all stakeholders to maximise the potential of both existing and novel systems.

We are dedicated to recognising achievement and to disseminating sustainable, scalable, and innovative teaching and assessment practices that tackle key challenges in meeting the objectives of inclusive programme and assessment design, while enhancing feedback engagement and literacy. As we navigate the unfolding narrative of education, King's Academy supports the efforts of our community to deliver continuous enhancement of education practice and student experience, driving forward the reputation of our university through a firm commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, and academic leadership.
