Doctoral School for Arts & Humanities

Launched in 2025, the King’s Doctoral School for Arts & Humanities is the home of research and training excellence, and in advancing our knowledge of how society works.

Our doctoral students benefit from our cultural partnerships, industry connections, open research practices, and expansive training opportunities all focussed on supporting innovative doctoral research in the arts and humanities.

New initiatives, including a placement programme, and expanded professional support, benefits doctoral students through their time at King’s and in their post-doctoral path to professional success, whether in areas of academic or non-academic employment.

The Doctoral School is a tangible example of the vibrant and expectation-defying research culture and environment we have cultivated in arts and humanities at King’s.

Professor Alice Taylor, Vice Dean (Research), Faculty of Arts & Humanities
