Communities are an integral part of our experience at Kings. Being a part of a staff network can have transformative effects on our involvement with the organisation, as well as a great way to make friends and have participation in key decision making and strategic level processes.
The Diversity & Inclusion Team helps to facilitate and support staff networks that aim broadly to:
- Provide support to staff with particular protected characteristics
- Develop a sense of community, particularly through shared experience
- Enable staff from these groups to provide representation in areas of policy, strategy and review
- Provide a consultation forum for the university to gather views on particular developments
If you have any questions around communities and networks, or if you’d like support in setting up a staff network at Kings, email India Jordan (Communities and Networks Coordinator).
We are in the process of developing a Parents and Carers Network, if you would like to express your interest in joining and participating in this network, or have any questions around it, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
