Communities are an integral part of our experience at Kings. Being a part of a staff network can have transformative effects on our involvement with the organisation, as well as a great way to make friends and have participation in key decision making and strategic level processes.   

The Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Team helps to facilitate and support staff networks that aim broadly to:

  • Provide support to staff with particular protected characteristics
  • Develop a sense of community, particularly through shared experience
  • Enable staff from these groups to provide representation in areas of policy, strategy and review
  • Provide a consultation forum for the university to gather views on particular developments
