Diversity Matters Training
The Diversity & Inclusion team offer two training courses that have been specifically developed for King’s staff.
Each course includes unconscious bias training and will further your understanding of Diversity & Inclusion.
The courses are interactive and creative, combining presentations, videos, and case studies. Diversity Matters is new and includes elements of the Unconscious Bias and Inclusive Working courses that were previously offered at King’s – if you have recently attended these training courses, you may not wish to attend Diversity Matters this year.
Diversity Matters: Staff Training
This course is open to all staff (Academic and Professional Services). The course outlines the legal requirements of the Equality Act 2010 in the context of your work at King’s. It covers the benefits of inclusive working, with practical advice on how to tackle unconscious bias, micro-aggressions, and inappropriate language.
Diversity Matters: Manager Training
Staff members who are managers or have supervisory roles are eligible for the extended version of Diversity Matters: Staff Training. As well as covering the material above, the Manager Training provides guidance around how to create a diverse and inclusive team, and how to address specific diversity and inclusion issues you may face as a manager at King’s.
