The Diversity & Inclusion Team helps to facilitate staff networks that aim broadly to:
- provide support to staff with particular protected characteristics
- enable staff from these groups to feed in issues to policy development and review
- provide a consultation forum for the university to gather views on particular developments

Currently the following staff networks and interest groups are active at the university:
King's LGBT Society
LGBT+ Staff Network
The King's LGBT+ Staff Network was established to support and represent staff members who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and other gender identities and sexual minorities within the university.
