Connections & Outreach

The Department of Interdisciplinary Humanities is dedicated to fostering strong connections and collaborative efforts both within King’s College and with external partners. By building on our strong networks, we are committed to promoting interdisciplinary engagement and enhancing cultural understanding across diverse fields.

We extend the tradition of the Liberal Arts BA, which cultivates special partnerships with several world-leading universities. Students in our programmes are encouraged to consider studying abroad at one of our partner institutions during the second semester of their second year. These opportunities allow students to gain global perspectives and engage with diverse academic communities, enhancing their educational experience and professional development.

Our collaboration with The Courtauld Institute of Art means that King’s Liberal Arts students can enjoy free access to the Courtauld Gallery’s permanent collections, free access to the Courtauld’s Vernon Street Library, and – depending on availability – also have the opportunity to take modules at the Institute.

Discover Art History through the Courtauld Institute of Art

Our department has a long-standing partnership with the Courtauld Institute of Art for students on the Liberal Arts BA to take modules in art history, and Courtauld students to take modules at King's.
