Arabic Levantine Level 1, Part 3

The course is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in Arabic. Ideally students should have completed 30 hours of tuition prior to joining Part 3 of the course.

Arabic Level 1 Spoken, Part 1 (Intensive)

Spoken Arabic is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in speaking Arabic and understanding different dialects. No prior knowledge of Arabic is required as the course is for complete beginners.

Summer course

Arabic Level 1 Spoken, Part 3

Understand how to use the present and future tense, use comparatives and superlatives, and use the past tense verb ‘to be’. Learn about word order and verbs and the negative. Practice describing the weather, discussing a trip, talking about your feelings or plans, understanding poems and lyrics, and more.

Arabic Level 1, Part 1

Learn how to understand basic written and spoken passages covering things like gender, personal pronouns, demonstrative pronouns and adjectives. Understand how to greet others, introduce yourself, ask questions, talk about what you do and describe objects in the room.

Arabic Level 1, Part 1 (Evening 5 Week Intensive)

These three-hour lessons will get you communicating at a very basic level in just five weeks. You’ll be able to greet people, find your way, tell the time and date, make purchases and order a meal. You’ll also get a small insight into Arabic-speaking life, culture, and society.

Summer course

Arabic Level 1, Part 2

Take your Arabic lessons further by learning the idafa (noun-noun) structure and the dual while continuing with adjectives, masculine and feminine plurals, irregular plural patterns and more. Practise asking for directions, discussing where you came from, and shopping, amongst other functions.

Arabic Level 1, Part 3

Master numbers from 11 to 100 and the days, weeks and months of the year. Start working with the present tense, comparatives and superlatives, weak verbs, and the past tense of the verb ‘to be’. Practise asking and answering questions about everyday activities, discussing holidays and future plans, and booking a hotel room.

Arabic Level 2 Spoken, Part 3

Understand how to use the imperative, negative and conditional, and how to say must, need to, should, likely to, and might. Practise discussing the news and the weather, describing illnesses and shopping at the pharmacy, and talking about your past habits,

Evening course

Arabic Level 2, Part 2

Continue your Arabic lessons by learning how to use verb forms, doubled verbs, relative pronouns and masculine and feminine colours. Practise writing a letter of complaint, expressing a preference for colours and clothes, giving your opinion, and more.

Arabic Level 2, Part 3

Round out your GCSE-level study of Arabic by learning the imperative, negative and conditional and learning how to say must, need to, should, likely to, and might. Practise how to talk about the news and the weather, describe illnesses and shop for medication, and express your opinion on films and dramas.
