Commendations

In the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine we are proud of the excellent work that our students do; both as part of their studies and within the wider community.

When our students’ behaviour and attributes deserve to be celebrated, we invite you to let us know through our commendations procedure.  In doing so we can proactively record evidence of merit-worthy and professional behaviour that would not generally be noted as part of assessment processes. We recognise the efforts of such students by sharing this positive feedback with them and celebrating their success at the Faculty’s annual Prize-giving ceremonies.

Nominations for commendations could be for impactful student engagement in one of the following areas:

  • Voluntary service
  • Exemplary integrity, kindness and/or support
  • Championing of ethical behaviour and inclusive community
  • Positive contribution to the public profile of their School
  • Commitment to holistic care
  • Outstanding clinical performance

Colleagues who wish to nominate a student for a commendation should complete this form before 28 June 2024.

Please note that this form can be used to nominate students for commendations in both the School of Bioscience Education and the GKT School of Medical Education, and contact folsmstudentexperience@kcl.ac.uk if you need any further information.
