AVATAR2

AVATAR therapy offers a new approach to working with distressing voices (auditory hallucinations), using digital technology to allow ‘face-to-face’ dialogue between the voice-hearer and a computerised representation of their voice (the avatar). We are now taking this forward in the AVATAR2 trial.

Awareness & Modulation Lab

Our lab draws on methods from experimental psychology and cognitive neuroscience to study suggestion effects (hypnosis, nocebo, placebo) and dissociative states and disorders.

Brain and Body Lab

Our focus is to better understand the interactions between brain and body to harness new understanding and applications in the context of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
