2nd Annual Arabic Language Teaching & Learning in UK Higher Education Conference

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Conference for Arabic Language Teaching & Learning in UK Higher Education at King’s College London.  The conference aims to bring together educators, academics as well as professionals in the field of teacher’s training.

The conference will focus on the following four areas:

  • Teaching Arabic in Context
  • Pedagogical Approaches to Arabic Diglossia and Language Variation
  • Programme design and curriculum alignment
  • Approaches to Assessment, the Common European Framework of Reference

The following plenary speakers have confirmed their participation:

  • Professor Mahmoud Al Batal, Professor of Arabic & Acting Chair, Department of Arabic & Near Eastern Studies, American University Beirut
  • Mr Mark Critchley, Director, Centre for Foreign Language Study in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures, University of Durham

During the conference you will be able to choose between workshops and presentations as well as meeting experts and professionals from the UK and abroad.
