Dr Ramon Pacheco Pardo Appointed Korea Foundation-Free University of Brussels Korea Chair

Congratulations to Dr Ramon Pacheco Pardo from the Department of European & International Studies, King’s College London, who has been appointed the inaugural holder of the Korea Foundation-Free University of Brussels Korea Chair – the first Korea Foundation-sponsored Chair in Europe.

The Chair will concentrate on promoting knowledge about Korea and Northeast Asia across Europe, strengthening Europe-Korea relations, and helping to bring stability to the Korean Peninsula. These goals will be achieved through original research, policy briefings, conferences and workshops, and partnerships across Europe, Northeast Asia and the US.

Ramon will remain a full-time member of academic staff in the department and at King’s College London, but will be part-time seconded to tenure this Chair.
