The department is located in the heart of London, in the iconic and recently refurbished Bush House buildings which includes state-of-the-art learning spaces and conference facilities. GHSM has a dedicated research laboratory with co-located research students, postdoctoral research associates, and visiting research fellows and professors.
Research space includes a meeting area for roundtables and reading groups; research students have access to common areas shared with others in which helps build interdisciplinary links in areas of shared interest.
To allow for our expansion in staff and student numbers, the Department moved to Bush House in the summer of 2018.
All faculty and researchers have access to King’s’ excellent library (2 million books, 55,000 scholarly journals, over 329,000 ebooks, over 600 databases and online resources, an open access intuitional repository which showcases research outputs of King’s researchers): this includes unrivalled access to health and medical resources that are crucial to our research. A dedicated information services representative works with the Department to build our specialist resources, and to advise, collectively and on-to-one, on specialist training in information access for our researchers.
In addition researchers have access to the libraries of the University of London, free inter-library loans, and Wellcome Trust and other specialist libraries.
