Activities and resources for World Mental Health Day

In support of World Mental Health Day on Monday 10 October 2022, our King’s services are hosting a day of activities and workshops.

Staff from Student Wellbeing, Counselling and Mental Health, Careers and Sport and Wellness will be on hand throughout the day and you can join them at the King’s Wellness Centre on Waterloo Campus to receive tips and guidance, attend workshops, and learn how to support your mental health throughout your studies.

Workshops take place between 10.00-16.00 on the day and include:

  • Breathwork and meditation
  • Journalling for your wellbeing
  • Identifying your values
  • Creativity for calm
  • Laugh out loud (laughter yoga)
  • Behaviour change and goal setting 1-2-1
  • Mind and body workshop
  • Nutrition 1-2-1
  • Looking after your wellbeing
  • Physiotherapy initial assessment

Book your slots for these sessions online.

You can also check out the Active Wellness Scheme. The scheme helps anyone within the King’s community who has low physical or mental wellbeing, with holistic wellness support to improve their wellbeing and thrive in their day-to-day activities.

King's Academic Skills for Learning are also hosting an online workshop on Managing your Studies, which you can sign-up for via SkillsForge using your King's login.

If you’re not able to attend our in-person activities, you may like to use World Mental Health Day to reflect on your wellbeing and access some of our online resources:

If you would like to speak to an advisor about your wellbeing, there are many services at King’s available to offer you support. For more information and to book an appointment with a Student Wellbeing Advisor, visit our Student Wellbeing page.
