King’s is entrepreneurial by nature. We have been striving to improve the world for nearly 200 years, from the discovery of DNA by Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin to the foundation of modern nursing by Florence Nightingale.
The world around us is rapidly changing and the global labour market is highly competitive. Developing entrepreneurial skills like disruptive thinking, compelling communication and working in a team, are key for securing future jobs and essential for starting your own business or working for yourself.
The Entrepreneurship Institute believe that everyone can be entrepreneurial. The team host events, activities and competitions throughout the year to help you develop an entrepreneurial mindset so that you’re equipped with the skills you need to enhance your future, whatever that might hold.

Idea Factory
Our flagship ideas competition, Idea Factory, is back this term for one night only!
Bring your big idea and pitch for the chance to win £250 in funding towards your next step, whether that’s building a prototype, conducting market research or buying equipment to test your idea.
Come with just an idea, or a venture you've been developing on the side. All ideas that pitch will receive one-to-one mentoring to help you develop your idea further, and winners will receive additional support.
